What we are responsible for

อ่านภาษาไทย

This page says what we actually do, and what is not in our hands. It exists so one link can settle the question.

What we do

  • We store what each person entered themselves, and open it to the other side step by step, as both sides accept.
  • The profile owner creates their own share link, sets its expiry, and can close it at any time.
  • We pass on the coordinator channel each side set up, so the other side can reach out themselves. No one's private channel is opened.
  • We receive reports, review them, and can suspend an account where the Terms give us reason to.
  • We erase your personal data when you ask, within the period stated in the Privacy Policy.

After that it is between you, your family, and the coordinator. We do not cover a marriage from start to finish; we make part of it easier.

What people assume we already did

  • Profile information is what each person entered themselves. We do not verify anyone's identity, history, or status.
  • A verification badge is the issuing verifier's statement that they read this profile's information and found it matching the person they already know, on the date shown. It is not a NikahMe verification, and it does not guarantee the profile owner's character or suitability.
  • A coordinator is chosen by the person themselves, not employed by us. We cannot certify anyone's status as a walī.
  • What happens after contact begins, from meetings to agreements to marriage, is a decision for you and your family.

About the numbers

The numbers we publish are counts of what members did and reported themselves. We publish no percentage of couples who married, because we cannot measure one.

Reporting misconduct

If you meet misconduct, use the report button on the case page next to the contact channels, or write to privacy@nikahme.app.

The binding documents are the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. This page summarises them; it does not replace them.
